Inspection

The mid-term inspection involves conducting a vist to the property during the course of the tenancy to look at the following:

• Is the property generally being looked after by the tenants?
• Are there any obvious problems within the property?
• Is the tenant breaching any terms of the tenancy?

It should also alert the attention of:

• The landlord or agent to works that may need to be carried out.
• The tenant to any matters that may lead to their being in breach of their tenancy agreement.

The visit may also be arranged at the instigation of the tenant who may be worried about some aspect of the property and wants an independent party to see the problem themselves.

The mid-term inspection is a great security measure when letting a property and it allows the landlord to keep in touch and remain informed during the tenancy, which we find always makes end of tenancies much smoother.
